It's near impossible to beat indoor training for the pole vault, especially in the state of Vermont. Only a 70 degree sunny day with a light tail wind beats indoor training. We all know how often that happens in Vermont. Our goal is to train indoors year-round as much as possible. This way we have no issues with weather dictating our workouts.

the Edge gives the club access to a weight room, locker rooms and use of misc. training equipment. The club has it's own pits and standards along with a 100' raised wooden runway topped with rubber surfacing. Track spikes are ALLOWED so bring them. Since we rent 2 tennis court sized fields worth of space, there's plenty of room for drills away from the pit.

Milton has a brand new 1900 Series UCS pit, UCS International Standards and triple high bar. This pit is used at most world class events and is the biggest and safest pit in Vermont, including colleges. The UCS International Standards adjust from 5 feet to 17 feet. The triple high bar set at 6', 7' and 8' heights is probably the best piece of equipment outside of pits and poles for pole vaulting. The high bar is where you learn how to swing and invert. Milton also has a 150' runway marked every 6 inches for quickly measuring and adjusting approach run lengths.
